Dhananjay Vaidya, MPH, PhD, MBBS
Dhananjay (Jay) Vaidya is a study design consultant and lead analytical faculty member at the at the Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Data Management Core at the Center for Child and Community Health Research at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Along with other CCHR-BEAD faculty, he provides consultation on study design, plans and oversees data analyses for projects supported by the CCHR. In addition, he co-directs the Biostatistics Consulting Unit of the Johns Hopkins Institute of Clinical and Translational Research at the Bayview campus. His own research interests are the prevention of heart disease, with special emphasis on cardiometabolic risk factors and genetics in high-risk families. He has expertise as a vascular disease epidemiologist with special skills in the non-invasive measurement of vascular structure and function. He is the associate director of the Johns Hopkins GeneSTAR Research Program and direct the statistical analysis unit and the vascular function laboratory of GeneSTAR. He is also an investigator in the Multi-Ethnic Study of Atherosclerosis of the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute of the NIH.
